Disraeli Staffordshire dogs are rare. The Disraeli dogs were named after Queen Victoria's prime minister, Benjamin Disraeli. Antique Landseer Newfoundland Dog Painting 19C oil painting of a Newfoundland dog. Attributed to Edwin Landseer. The initials EL at the bottom left corner. Located at the bottom center of the frame is an old name plate which has Landseer printed on it. The painting measures 12" x 14 1/2". The old gesso and wood frame has a gold finish and measures 18 1/2" x 20 1/2". Frame has some wear and minor chipping. Painting is in good condition. The painting has been professionally relined.
